Sara K. Palmer, Doctor of Acupuncture and Board Certified Acupuncturist. Sara is a graduate of the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine who has received diplomatic status and national certification from the NCCAOM. Sara loves working with both children and adults and believes that we all have the innate ability to heal ourselves when given support. Sara promotes wellness and patient empowerment through individualized and comprehensive care to treat various conditions, including women’s health-related issues, infertility, pain management, orthopedic issues, migraines, and mental and emotional challenges. Sara is passionate about women’s health and has completed extensive maternity and obstetric acupuncture training. Sara is a Certified Member of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association in the US. (The OBAA provides a resource for pregnant people and their care providers to find acupuncturists in their area who demonstrate an elevated standard of care and safety within the field of perinatal care.) She focuses on prenatal care with the understanding that the health of a mother and her baby begins well before conception. Sara delights in helping women throughout their pregnancy, including labor preparation and the postpartum period. She also brings a holistic approach to families in need of fertility support.
